Editorial Standards

How we create and review our content

Oracle covers personal finance — a subject where being clear, accurate, and honest genuinely matters. These are the standards we hold every guide on the site to, and the principles behind how we research, write, and review what we publish.

How we research and write

Every article starts from established, widely accepted personal-finance principles — the kind taught in reputable financial-education resources. We focus on durable concepts (compound growth, savings rate, the 4% rule, the 28/36 rule) rather than market predictions or hot tips. Where we cite a number or rule of thumb, it reflects commonly published guidance, and we explain that these figures are approximate, not guarantees.

Our use of AI — and human review

Oracle is an AI-powered product, and we use AI tools to help research and draft content. Nothing is published on autopilot. Every article is reviewed and edited by a real person — our founder and editor, Rishi Mohan — for accuracy, clarity, and tone before it goes live. AI is a drafting assistant; a named human is accountable for what appears on this site.

Accuracy and updates

We check figures and claims against established sources before publishing, and we revisit content as rules, limits, and commonly cited numbers change over time. When we update a guide, the 'last updated' date on the article reflects it. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, we want to hear about it.

Independence — no paid placement

Oracle does not sell financial products, and we do not accept payment to feature, recommend, or rank any company, fund, or service. The site is supported by advertising that is clearly separated from our editorial content. Our recommendations are never for sale.

Not financial advice

Everything on Oracle is for general information and education only. We are not licensed financial advisors, and nothing here is personalized advice. Your situation is unique — please treat our content as a starting point for your own thinking and consult a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.

Who stands behind this content

Oracle's content is overseen by Rishi Mohan, the site's founder and editor. He is not a licensed financial advisor, and Oracle is intentionally an educational tool rather than a financial-services provider.
